Make your own trivia questions

Write a custom trivia set of up to 50 questions, or paste a whole quiz at once. Formatting rules, limits and how to back up your sets.

Updated

The basics

Open the question set editor. Start a new set, or copy the ready-made Quick Mix set and edit your copy.

  • 1 to 50 questions per set.
  • Every question has exactly 4 different answers, with one marked correct.
  • Questions up to 200 characters, answers up to 80, an optional category up to 30.

Paste a whole quiz at once

Got questions in a doc already? Use bulk paste. Put the question on one line and its 4 answers on the next lines. Mark the right answer with a *. Leave a blank line between questions.

Tip: Prefixes like "Q:", "A)" or "1." are cleaned up for you. If no answer has a *, the first answer counts as the correct one.

Where your sets are saved

Sets are saved in this browser on this device. There are no accounts yet, so a set you write on your laptop won't appear on the TV's browser. Write your sets on the device you'll host from, and keep a copy of your questions in a doc as a backup.

Questions

Can I share my question set with a friend?

Not inside the app yet. Send them your questions as text and they can paste them in with bulk paste.

Why did my sets disappear?

Sets live in the browser's storage. Clearing browsing data, private mode or a different browser will not show them.
